SUPPORT LCH

LCH is a registered 501c3 charitable organization and our annual budget is comprised of membership dues, fundraiser income, and donations from our generous members and friends.

Funds support our hounds and kennel, the upkeep of the hunt field, and pay the salary of our huntsman and kennel staff.

There are many ways to lend a hand.

BECOME A MEMBER

There are many levels of riding membership to suit your time and budget, as well as a social membership for those who no longer ride or never have. Membership information is available online.

ATTEND AN EVENT

Our trail rides, Hunter Pace Series, and The Carriage Trail Run all support the hounds. Additionally, we host a night at Vernon Downs Race Track, and a Kentucky Derby Party that are open to the public. We also host a Hunt Ball in the autumn. Patron status is available for many of our events. See the events listing on our Facebook page for the latest information.

DONATE USED TACK

We host a tack sale at the Classic Hunter pace in the Fall and all proceeds from this sale support the hounds. Please contact us via email if you would like to donate clean, gently used items from any discipline.

KEEP A HOUND JAR

LCH members have hound jars that we use to toss our spare change into throughout the year. These are gathered at the Holiday Party and cashed in by our treasurer and president. Even if you are not a member, you can keep a change jar and donate to the Milk Bone Fund. The pennies add up over the course of time and the pack is always grateful.

SPONSOR A HOUND

The Hound Sponsorship program is an opportunity for members and friends of the hunt to make a dedicated donation of $100 annually to their favorite hound or hounds (or to the pack in general). Sponsors will receive a photo of their hound, a copy of his or her pedigree and some fun details on their personality and hunting record each season. Please contact us via email if you are interested in sponsoring a hound.

MAKE A DONATION ONLINE

We are capable of taking online donations via PayPal and welcome any amount that you would like to share. We also welcome gift in kind donations of non-cash goods. If you are interested in a gift in kind donation, please contact us via email to discuss the items you wish to share or purchase for the club.

CORPORATE MATCHING

Because we are a 501c3, LCH is eligible for Corporate Matching on donations if your employer offers the option.

Please contact us via email if you are interested and need information.

PLANNED GIVING

A planned gift is an opportunity to express thanks to special people in your life, establish lasting memorials to family and friends, and to contribute to organizations and causes in which you believe. Remembering Limestone Creek Hunt, Inc. in your estate plans is a wonderful way to acknowledge the impact that LCH has had in your life as a member, landowner, volunteer, or friend.

The most common way people leave either real estate or cash in a will or living trust is through a charitable bequest. There is no need to rewrite your current estate documents as you may simply add an amendment, called a codicil, to your will or living trust.

You may also name Limestone Creek Hunt, Inc. as the beneficiary of a retirement plan, life insurance policy, stocks or bonds, savings/checking accounts, and donor-advised funds. If you select this method, please know it is necessary to update your will or living trust to reflect the same designation.

There are more sophisticated estate-planning tools such as charitable gift annuities and charitable remainder trusts that would provide a gift to LCH and income for you, as well as favorable tax treatment. These two financial instruments are the more commonly known of myriad options that require professional assistance in order to be enacted.

Regardless of the route you select, consulting with a certified financial planner and trusted attorney is essential, and will ensure your estate plan is best suited to your charitable goals and financial requirements.

If you have made a gift to LCH in your estate plans, please let us know so that we may thank you during your lifetime.

Please contact Lisa Cameron-Norfleet, Board of Stewards President via email.  Be assured we always honor requests for anonymity.
